Kortni R. Campbell

    Kortni R. Campbell joined UNC Asheville as Vice Chancellor for Admission and Financial Aid in January 2021. Prior to joining UNC Asheville, Kortni served as Senior Associate Dean of Admission & Financial Aid at Davidson College where she oversaw the work of the admission team, led strategic communication and recruitment efforts, and focused on initiatives related to access and equity. Throughout her time at Davidson, Kortni worked closely with students, their families, and mentors with a focus on empowerment in the college search process.

    Working with the Admission & Financial Aid team, she is responsible for recruitment, admission, financial aid and pre-college outreach and retention. Kortni works closely with campus and community partners to provide access to a quality, innovative, and affordable education for students around North Carolina, the country and the world.

    Prior to her work in higher education, she worked in the media, strategic communications and public policy. Kortni received her B.A. in Political Science from UNC Chapel Hill and her M.A. in Communications from Queens University of Charlotte. She is affiliated with the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC), New England Association of College Admission Counseling, and the Association for Women in Communications. Kortni volunteers with the Greater Charlotte SPCA and serves on the board of the Cannonball Foundation. She is also a yoga teacher who specializes in working with athletes.
