UNC Asheville Hosts Exhibit by Windgate Fellow Sculptor Ben Reid

"Visiting Hours," an installation of six sculptures with moving elements by Raleigh artist Benjamin Reid, will be on view at UNC Asheville's Highsmith University Union from June 17-August 5. An opening reception and artist talk will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17, in the gallery. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

Music lovers of all ages will enjoy free concerts at UNC Asheville’s 28th annual Concerts on the Quad summer music series. Concerts get under way at 7 p.m. each Monday evening June 14-July 21 on UNC Asheville’s Quad. The series will conclude with special, ticketed performances of the Folkmoot USA Festival on July 24-25.

The UNC Asheville Music Department will wrap up the spring concert season with its annual Gala Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 2, in UNC Asheville's Lipinsky Auditorium. Exhibitions on view in Owen Hall's Second Floor Gallery include printmaking works by Melanie Carrick, sculpture by Nicolette Carter, and paintings and drawings by James Stickney.
