"Footprints in the Sand," a new exhibit of mixed media works by Patrick Berger, will open May 21 in Blowers Gallery in UNC Asheville's Ramsey Library. A reception with the artist will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, in the gallery.
The exhibition considers the relationship between humanity and the environment, with some pieces that resemble maps through their use of repeated patterns and shapes referencing geological formations.
"Footprints in the Sand" is free and open to the public and will remain on view through May 30, whenever Ramsey Library is open. Visit the library website for hours of operation, and for more information, call 828.251.6436.
