UNC Asheville will host a talk by climate expert Ahira Sanchez-Lugo at noon on Thursday, Oct. 22, at UNC Asheville’s Intercultural Center, lower level of Highsmith University Union. The event is free and open to the public.

Sanchez-Lugo received a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) fellowship, and completed a master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Hawaii. Sanchez-Hugo now works at NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) in Asheville, where she is a member of the Climate Monitoring Branch.
