Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account

Benefits FAQ  |  What's New?

The Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account (DDCFSA) primarily benefits employees with dependent children under age 13, or with an incapacitated spouse or dependent who lives with the employee at least 8 hours a day. A list of eligible dependent care expenses can be found here.

When you have an expense that qualifies for reimbursement, just submit a completed claim form with the necessary documentation and a receipt with your dependent care provider's tax identification number or Social Security Number, and you will receive a tax-free reimbursement.

You will contribute a set of amount of money to your account through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis.  The monthly contribution can't be less than $10 ($120 per year). If you are single or if you are married and file a joint tax return, your monthly maximum contribution is $416.66 ($5,000 per year). If you are married and file a separate tax return, your monthly maximum contribution is $208.32 ($2,500 per year). This complies with the limits established by current federal tax regulations.
